How it all got Started

We began our maple sugaring adventure in 1976 with about a dozen buckets and an open fire with a pot over the fire similar to how the native americans boiled down their sap to make maple syrup. Each year after that we increased the bucket count and found more maple trees to tap and got the neighborhood kids to help. We built a small sugarhouse with an evaporator pan and after four sugarhouse additions and four evaporator pans later with several thousand taps we are at a comfortable size. All our products are produced in northfield, MA at our sugarhouse kitchen with modern equipment. Our maple products are available on line and we sell at local stores, craft fairs and agricultural fairs in our area.
